Henry Artz is a Certified Briggs & Stratton, Rehlko, Honda, Echo and Kawasaki Technician.
Henry was born and raised in Ipswich, South Dakota. He served in the Marine Corp after high school for four years, then attended Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, earning his certificate in diesel technology. After working for Butler Cat in Sioux Falls, he returned to Aberdeen to work with his brothers at Artz Equipment Inc. as a diesel technician, servicing farm equipment in the shop and in the fields for twenty-one years.

Henry has a wife and four sons. He stays active in the community through the Catholic churches, American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He is a Harley enthusiast and enjoys his annual bike trips with a group of friends, travel with his family and helping family and friends when they need him.

Andrew Artz was born and raised in Aberdeen. He graduated from Lake Area Technical College with a degree in Diesel Technology. He began his career in 2021 as a diesel technician for Artz Equipment Inc. and joined Gary’s Engine and Repair in April of 2026. He was a member of the Army Reserves for six years and now enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Even when not at work, he enjoys tinkering at home.

Jacob Hieb was born and raised in Aberdeen, SD. He graduated from Central High School in December of 2025. He has been servicing equipment for Gary’s Engine and Repair for over three years but has been building, fixing and inventing for most of his life. Jacob is a Certified Briggs & Stratton and Echo Technician.
